Wind turbines above the mill grounds

Powered by Wind

Two on-site Vestas 1.8 MW wind turbines supplied 73% of the mill’s electricity in 2024. Energy use overall is 98% renewable.

Combined with our on-grid power use, our electrical profile is over 99% renewable.

Carbon borrowed, not extracted

Wool is built from carbon pulled from the air. It cycles back to the soil as manure.

Our wool’s baseline carbon impact is already lower than the global average, before counting insets.

Pasture management for soil carbon

More than half of the carbon a sheep eats goes back to the ground as manure. How much of it stays in the soil depends on how the land is managed.

Our Land to Market growers are verified on land management, and it’s why we’re measuring soil at the farm.

Sunlight through a planted forest

Our wastewater feeds a forest

To inset our emissions, we’ve planted over 10,000 trees, and we're planting another 15 hectares of forest this year.

Wastewater, after treatment, is recycled to irrigate our forest.
